East Rim Trail System
CHECK CONDITIONSThe NPS's first mountain bike trail system, built with CAMBA: 2.3-mi East Rim Trail, 4.7-mi Lamb Loop, 1.3-mi Edson Run, plus the short, technical Post Line boulder field. Rated intermediate overall. Direction of travel changes daily — check the signs at the trailhead. Closed when wet or icy; open 6am–11pm. Trailhead: 281 Boston Mills Road, Peninsula.
Hampton Hills Mountain Bike Area
CHECK CONDITIONSRun by Summit Metro Parks (not NPS) just south of CVNP — riders commonly link it with East Rim via the Bike & Hike Trail. 7 miles today (up to 16 planned) across beginner, moderate, and intermediate trails; bikes only, no e-bikes, no pets. Trailhead: 2092 Theiss Rd, Akron.
